NorthShore Non-Profits
Association for Visual Arts
The Association for Visual Arts’ mission is to strengthen and promote the artistic ecosystem of Chattanooga’s visual artists, art enthusiasts and arts-based institutions. We envision and strive towards a healthy and thriving arts community, evidenced by an ever-increasing engagement of artists and appreciation of the visual arts throughout the greater Chattanooga community.
AVA is located on Frazier Ave in the heart of Chattanooga's North Shore. The Main gallery exhibitions rotate throughout the year each with different themes or ideas. AVA ensures at least three exhibitions each year showcases our diverse membership. The Landis Education Gallery is dedicated solely for displaying art created by local students or other nonprofit art organizations.
Chattanooga Theatre Center
The Chattanooga Theatre Centre is dedicated to enriching the cultural, intellectual, and emotional development of people of all ages by providing high-quality theatrical experiences and creating opportunities to engage in them.
One of the largest arts organizations in Chattanooga, one of the longest running theatres in the Southeast, and one of the largest community theatres in the country, the Chattanooga Theatre Centre was founded in 1923 on the belief that the arts are a shared experience that delights, inspires, moves, and educates.
Northside Neighbordhood House
Since 1924, the Northside Neighborhood House has focused on empowering residents north of the Tennessee River to create thriving communities across Northern Hamilton County. From ensuring individuals are housed with working utilities to supporting students in achieving academic success, the NNH focuses on creating relationships and connecting individuals to supports that aid them in creating stability for themselves and their families.
The NorthShore Merchants Collective is proud to support the work of NNH through our annual Holiday Window Treasure Hunt. All funds raised through the treasure hunt are donated to NNH in support of its programs, including Santa’s Workshop where families all across Northern Hamilton County have the opportunity to shop for toys, books, and coats for their children. Additionally, NSMC collects and donates toys for this program.
